Twenty-seven fourth-grade classes from Gilbert Unified School District will celebrate World Water Day on Thursday with two hours of hands-on water activities at Crossroads Park in Gilbert. The Arizona Make a Splash with Project WET Water Festival is sponsored by the Town of Gilbert and Arizona Project WET (Water Education for Teachers). The festival’s goal is to increase students’ awareness, appreciation, and stewardship of water resources through four lessons correlated to Arizona Academic Standards.
