Several musical groups from Mesa high schools participated in festivals this fall and received top ratings. The Skyline High School Chorale, directed by Jeff Medlock, received a superior with distinction rating at the Arizona Choral Educator’s Fall Adjudication Festival in October. Westwood High School’s honor choir, directed by Justine Farenga, also received a superior with distinction rating.
Dobson High School’s bass drums and tenor drums received a superior rating at the fall festival held in September.
And Mesa High School’s marching band won first place at the Songs Along the San Tans Festival also in September.
