The W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University will add several new degrees to its offerings beginning in 2014.
The school is set to add new options in areas concerning “big data,” supply chain management and finance, as well as a certificate in sales starting in the 2014-15 school year, pending final approval.
“We’re seeing tremendous growth in demand for professionals who can analyze the mountains of ‘big data’ coming into companies through social media, networking with customers, and other methods,” said Amy Hillman, dean of the W. P. Carey School of Business, in a press release. “That’s why we’re adding a new bachelor’s degree in data analytics and an online version of our existing master’s degree program in business analytics. We’re also introducing new degrees in global logistics from our Top 10-ranked Supply Chain Management Department and a new master’s degree in finance.”
The school is also set to start a new master’s in finance program that lasts for nine months and has become popular in Europe in recent years.
