The Arizona Science Teachers Association recently honored Mesa’s Aaron Done as the “new science teacher of the year.” Done teaches eighth-graders at Rhodes Junior High School.

The award recognizes “outstanding first-year teachers, based on content knowledge, instructional strengths, innovative practices and the potential for a life of quality science teaching.”

“Aaron’s a natural in the classroom. And he’s quickly becoming a leader,” said Matt Devlin, principal at Rhodes.
