Marcos de Niza High School teacher Robert Owen-Jones is using technology to help students understand English literature. He received a $10,000 grant from CenturyLink Communications and Arizona Technology in Education Association that will take it a step further.

The students will develop applications for Android technology for English literature assistance.

The grant will provide for 33 tablets for the students to use while creating the applications that will provide links to video analysis, vocabulary and supplemental materials. Students will also blog about their experiences and give a presentation about the apps they develop.
