Alumni of Mesa’s Mountain View High School will run, jog and join together again this year for its ninth annual "Nog-a-Thon," a race to raise awareness and funds for Feed My Starving Children. The nonprofit organization, which has a packing site in Tempe, brings volunteers together each week to pack millions of meals for starving and malnourished children around the world.

The "Nog-a-Thon" will be 3:30 p.m. Dec. 15 at Mountain View High School, 2700 E. Brown Road. The event is limited to 100 runners. The entry fee is $10 and runners are required to wear a holiday costume as they run around the quarter-mile track, drinking an 8 oz. cup of eggnog after each lap. Register at nogathon.com.

Spectators are welcome. A $5 donation is recommended to watch the event.
