The Tempe Union High School District is getting a new assistant superintendent for human resources.

During a meeting next week, the governing board will vote to hire Kevin Mendivil to replace retiring assistant superintendent Janet Seegren. Mendivil is currently the director of certified personnel in the Mesa Unified School District.

It is the second administrative announcement for Tempe Union: Superintendent Steve Adolph announced earlier this year he will retire. Kenneth Baca was hired to replace him beginning July 1.
