Want to know how a real archaeologist works? Try your hand at an ancient Hohokam ball game? See how they lived?

Mesa Grande Cultural Park, 1000 N. Date St., is inviting the public to participate in a hands-on event March 23.

Visitors can work alongside real archaeologists on restoration of the Hohokam mound and ball court at the site.

The Archaeology Family Day and Restoration Event program will run 10:30 a.m. to noon. Cost is $2 for museum members and $6 for nonmembers. Advance registration is required.

For more information about the event or to register, contact Alice Jung at (480) 644-3553 or email alice.jung@mesaaz.gov.
