How did summer go by so fast?
A lot of school-age children are going to be asking that in the next few weeks as classes begin around the East Valley. From charter schools to district schools, from private schools to preschools, teachers are prepping their rooms and parents are frantically heading to the stores for those back-to-school haircuts, shoes and supplies.
This year, the East Valley Tribune has put together information about the latest trends in education -- from lunch menu changes to how to use an iPad to further your child’s schooling. We’ve asked experts to address issues such as how to help a child transition into a new school, what to do when your child’s been identified as gifted and more.
You’ll find some of the information in the stories, commentary and features linked below.
And even more stories may be found on our redesigned education page at eastvalleytribune.com/local/education/.
And as classes get under way, you can submit your own stories to us as well. We’re learning ourselves these days as we tackle social media from Facebook and Twitter to Pinterest.
So take a look inside our back-to-school section -- either by checking out our "e-paper" (note: BTS 2012 is part of the Sunday, July 22 edition), or through the links below.
