Chandler’s Seton Catholic Preparatory High School has been awarded the 2011-2012 University Cup Award from the University of Arizona, and with it, a one-time $2,000 scholarship to give to a graduate this year.

Established in 1929, the University Cup is awarded annually to the Arizona high school with at least 10 students in the UA’s freshman class. Those students’ grade point averages are compared together to determine the University Cup Award winner. Seton Catholic Prep’s 16 graduates from the class of 2011 earned a cumulative GPA of 3.342 during their freshman year at UA.

Good. The staff at Seton should be proud.
