More than 360 cosmetology students will participate in the fifth annual Masquerade Fantasy Hair Show at Mesa's East Valley Institute of Technology, 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at the school, 1601 W. Main St. Students will serve as models and work in teams to create a "total look," including hair styling, make-up, nail art and costumes based on a chosen theme. The money raised supports EVIT's cosmetology and aesthetics programs, and helps pay for students to travel and compete in SkillsUSA competitions. Cost is $5 for seats in the auditorium, and $3 for overflow seats in the Culinary Banquet Hall where the show can be seen via live feed.
A student show to benefit the Mesa United Way will be presented 6 p.m. Thursday at EVIT. The cost is $2.
