Check out my website which advocates restructuring the Arizona University System to provide greater accessibility, affordability, and accountability to a public university education for many more Arizonans while breaking-up the ASU monopoly within Greater Phoenix.
My plan does this by merging the ASU West & Polytechnic campuses into an independent, "medium-cost" and moderate research state university that is then housed at the Polytechnic campus location while the West campus then transforms itself into an independent, "low-cost" and non-research state university.

There are very few state programs not tied to Federal regulations, and this happens to be one of them. It's a shame, but non-fed programs are going to be slashed in the future. It is also a reality that as long as we want services at the current level we need to cut waste, and then raise taxes.
Sounds like a great time for some quiet funding by the universities for a PAC to oppose Brewer & company. Or maybe some sympathetic alumni should start one. Once one accepts the twisted logic that a corporation is a "person" and can contribute to a PAC anonymously, well - why can't other "organizations?"
On the other hand, m-a-y-b-e this would be a good time for the teacher's union to recruit more into the administrative ranks, expand their base, and file a few dozen more lawsuits. After all, how could a good Repub argue against enriching a few more lawyers?
