Celeste Winters has been chosen as the executive director of the Scottsdale Artists’ School. Winters replaces Stephanie "Stevie" Lynch, who is retiring after 10 years.
"We see Celeste as an ideal leader. She has strong ties to the community, a successful fund-raising background and a commitment to the values of the school," said Mary Lueck, president of the school’s board of directors. "We have great confidence in her ability to build upon the remarkable contributions and accomplishments of . . . Stevie Lynch."
Scottsdale Artists’ School is a nonprofit school of traditional art that offers workshops and courses in oil painting, drawing, watercolor, pastel and sculpture. More than 2,500 students attend each year.
"Celeste will play a significant role in enhancing our visibility and growing our school," said Bill Holburn, marketing director.
Before taking the director’s position, Winters operated her own marketing and consulting firm, Calliope Inc. She provided public relations support for Del Webb’s Anthem development while serving as an account supervisor for The Martz Agency in Scottsdale. She also has served as director of communications for Arizona State University Public Events.
Winters has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va.
