For the third consecutive year, Rancho Solano Private Schools earned first place in the Meritas Academic Olympiad. This year's championship took place May 8 in Houston.
The Meritas Academic Olympiad brings together "academic heroes" from the Meritas Family of Schools, which encompasses 10 college preparatory schools from around the world. Olympiad participants traveled as far as Switzerland and China to compete in spelling, geography, chess, math, oration, declamation and Quiz Bowl.
Rancho Solano has five campuses in the Valley, including Gilbert.
