Tempe High School learned last week it received authorization to operate an International Baccalaureate World School on the campus beginning next fall.
The two-year program, which will begin with about 25 students participating as International Baccalaureate certificate or diploma candidates, is for juniors and seniors.
The school has been offering courses to prepare students for the rigors of the certificate and diploma program. Tempe joins Mesa, Scottsdale and Chandler unified school districts as East Valley districts with International Baccalaureate programs.
An informational meeting will be held 6 p.m. Jan. 21 at the school. Information can be found at www.tuhsd.k12.az.us or call (480) 967-1661.
