Gateway Pointe teacher wins early childhood grant

Gateway Pointe Elementary School student Kristin Hemlock recently received a $1,000 early childhood grant from McDonald's.

The Higley Unified School District campus will use the grant to support the school math and science programs by purchasing supplies such as nonfiction texts about animals, habitats, or rocks and minerals, and journals for students to track seed growth.
