Southeast Regional Library will hold its first Genealogy Fair Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 9 for teens and adults.

During the fair, a variety of genealogy societies and organizations will share their services. In several sessions, participants will learn about DNA testing, how to write family history, immigration and naturalization, German-Russian ancestry, State of Arizona Library resources, and Arizona Historical Society resources.

The day will culminate with a panel of experts who will provide information and answer questions about how to get around the obstacles that may be preventing people from finding their family roots.

Participants are invited to bring a lunch to eat during the break.

To view an agenda for the entire day and workshop descriptions, visit www.mcldaz.org and click the Genealogy Fair tab. Registration recommended. For Sessions I, II and III, select only one of two workshops per session.

For more information, call (602) 652-3000. Southeast Regional is located at 775 N. Greenfield Road, Gilbert.
