Benedictine University has named a longtime Valley educator to oversee the branch campus it plans to open in downtown Mesa in August 2013. Jo Wilson will serve as the senior administrator for Benedictine University at Mesa and is working on the September opening of an administration service center at 51 E. Main St.
Wilson has held a number of positions for more than 40 years with Mesa Community College, where she was an interim provost at MCC’s downtown and Red Mountain campuses. She was named Mesa’s Woman of the Year in 2010.
The Catholic institution will open its campus at 225 E. Main St., where its degree offerings will include bachelor’s degrees in fine arts, criminal justice, communication arts, psychology, theology, nutrition and business administration.
