The Arizona Association of County School Superintendents is honoring four individuals for their efforts to improve education.
The association selected Gov. Jan Brewer, Sen. Kimberly Yee (R-Glendale), Rep. Doris Goodale (R-Kingman), and Chuck Essigs, director of government relations for the Arizona Association of School Business Officials for their “dedication, belief, and support for public education throughout the state of Arizona.”
Don Covey, president of the Arizona Association of County School Superintendents, said of the four honorees: “You inspire others to achieve great educational opportunities for all school-aged youth. Your vision and energy for doing what is right for education is extraordinary! Your dedication has created significant loyalty and respect from the Arizona Association of County School Superintendents.”
