Through rain, shine and heat, crossing guards get children to and from school safely every day. AAA Arizona is calling for nominations for its sixth annual Crossing Guard of the Year Award. The deadline to submit nominations is March 12.
“The lifesaving service school crossing guards provide in our communities often goes unnoticed,” said Linda Gorman, director of communications and public affairs for AAA Arizona. “As an advocate for safety, AAA is proud to show our appreciation for their efforts and dedication with our Crossing Guard of the Year Award.”
Nomination forms are available at all Maricopa County and Pima County school district offices or can be downloaded online. Completed forms can be mailed to AAA Arizona, Attn: Public Affairs, 2375 E. Camelback Road, Ste. 500, Phoenix, Ariz., 85016, faxed to 602-266-1736, or emailed to publicrelations@arizona.aaa.com.
