Rhodes Junior High hosts literacy night

Mesa's Rhodes Junior High School is inviting the community to attend its free literacy night 6-8 p.m. Feb. 16 at the school, 1860 S. Longmore.

Special guest J.S. Lewis, author of the Grey Griffins series, Grey Griffins Clockwork Chronicles, and the CHAOS Novels, will speak at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Prior to that, three local graphic novelists, Thomas Healy, Terry Tibke, and Jeff Pina, will conduct quick draw contests in the media center. Manga Club students also will demonstrate how to draw anime characters.
