My kids have attended this school for the last 6 years, and I have to say how thankful I am to Target for all the volunteers that worked so hard to beautify the grounds with the colorful painting of the quad and tether ball courts, but I am mostly thankful for all the new books and tablets so graciously given to the school! This school is one of the lowest income schools in Mesa, however, with the spirit of the teachers and the heart of the students, you would never know it. The love that was felt by parents, students, teachers, and volunteers that day was palpable. As I was recently laid off from my job, and with birthday and thanksgiving coming up, we weren't sure how we were going to afford Thanksgiving dinner, and that day we were blessed with a Thanksgiving turkey! Thank you Target, teachers and students of Stevenson, and East Valley Tribune for highlighting this school and all the greatness associated!
