Mesa's Westwood High School is in competition for a grant of up to $50,000 through the Clorox company and needs community support to win. The school, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, was nominated by a teacher. The funds would be used for schoolwide improvements, including maintenance (carpets, paint, etc) and technology updates, as well as classroom materials and supplies.

To vote, text clorox6319 to 44144 every day through Dec 8. Votes are also collected online at www.powerabrightfuture.com.
