Two men in a pickup allegedly tried to rob a Gilbert Mid-First Bank drive-through Friday, according to Gilbert police.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m., employees of the bank reported suspicious activity, police said. A white Chevy pickup truck with two people inside pulled into the drive-through.
The driver covered his face and said, “We need your money,” police said. He then made a movement inside his jacket, which the employee took as an indication of a weapon.
The driver then left in an unknown direction, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
