A woman was injured Tuesday night during a struggle with a purse snatcher in a Mesa Walmart parking lot.
About 10:15 p.m., the victim was near her car in the parking lot at 5122 E. University Drive when a man wearing a black hooded jacket grabbed her purse. She held on but the robber pulled hard enough to cause her to fall and hit the back of her head on the ground.
The robber ran west with the purse, and younger person in a hoodie -- possibly a lookout -- joined him.
A search was conducted with a helicopter but no suspects were found. The woman was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to a hospital by her husband.
The purse snatcher was described as in his early 20s with a black jacket and black pants, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 150 to 160 pounds.

The suspects are: Black? Mexican? White? The woman could not see her assailant? More stellar reporting from the Trib. Political correctness is so passe, folks.

Arm yourselves. Buy a hand gun; take a gun safety course; practice at the shooting range and be ready when the punks come after you in the parking lots. What race were these two hooded men, btw???

Now all of you anti-2nd amendment activists should rest easy knowing that when seconds count, the police are only minutes away. Remember, this poor victim was someones' wife, mother, grandmother.
