Mesa police are trying to locate a man officers say entered an apartment with a gun and stole a video game console on Tuesday.

The victims told police that about 7:30 p.m., they allowed a man to come inside their apartment in the 1000 block of West 8th Avenue to charge his phone. Moments later, another man charged through the front door with a handgun, demanded that everyone get on the ground and threatened to shoot them.

The suspect, described as a light-skinned black male in his late 20s wearing a black and red baseball cap and red athletic shorts, tried to steal the TV, but wound up stealing a game console, according to police.

After the robbery suspect fled the residence, the victims asked the other man to use his phone to call 911, but he said he had to leave and ran from the area. Police believe that he could be an accomplice to the crime. He was described as a black male, with a muscular build and about 6 feet tall.
