A man has been sentenced to life in prison for a wrong-way freeway crash that killed a Mesa woman in 2010.

Maricopa County prosecutors say Anthony Robert Dose, 26, was sentenced Monday and won’t be eligible for early release.

Authorities say Dose was on methamphetamines at the time of the accident on Oct. 27, 2010.

They say Dose was driving in the wrong direction on the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway and trying to avoid a Mesa police pursuit at speeds of more than 100 mph.

Dose’s car collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Michelle Pagano. Authorities say she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A grand jury indicted Dose on first-degree felony murder and other charges. He pleaded guilty Jan. 27 and wasn’t offered a plea agreement.

What a waste of taxpayers' money. This piece of trash should be publically hanged. A rope costs ten dollars and to house this thing for the rest of his life will cost millions.
