Mesa police arrested three juvenile males Thursday who admitted to burglarizing several vehicles.
Police got a call after 3 a.m. reporting that two men had been shining flashlights into a vehicle in the 800 block of N. Slater. Officers located the suspects in a vehicle near Higley and Broadway roads, and the three males inside acknowledged they had stolen items from seven vehicles that evening. The juveniles were booked on suspicion of burglary.
During a search of the vehicle, police found a carbon dioxide cartridge with what appeared to be a fuse coming out of it. One of the juveniles said a friend made it, and that it was full of black powder. A hazardous materials crew responded to remove the item.
