Eight people, including four children, were injured Wednesday night after two minivans collided in Tempe.

Tempe Police spokeswoman Molly Enright said the accident happened at the intersection of Guadalupe and Country Club Way around 6:20 p.m.

Fire officials said all of the people in the two minivans are related.

Four kids were hurt in the accident. Two of them, ages 4 and 12, were transported to County Hospital in serious condition.

Their mother, 36, was also transported to County Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The conditions of the other people in the van are not known at this time.

"Eight people, including four children, were injured Wednesday night after two minivans collided in Tempe."

Puzzling. How were they injured AFTER the minivans collided? Wouldn't they have been injured WHEN the minivans collided?
