Chandler police have ruled a motorist-pedestrian incident that left the pedestrian dead Wednesday morning a suicide.

After talking to witnesses, police determined that Kevin Shaw, 31, of Chandler resident, stepped out into the roadway at the intersection of Alma School Road and Fulton Ranch Boulevard north of Chandler Heights Boulevard.

Shaw was carrying a Bible and had taken off his shoes before making movements that indicated he was considering jumping into oncoming traffic before he leaped in front of a minivan traveling about 45 mph, according to Sgt. Joe Favazzo, a Chandler police spokesman.

Traffic was restricted in the southbound lanes of Alma School road for about four hours following the incident, Favazzo said.

It's sad whenever someone chooses to do this and you have to wonder what brings a person to that moment. Juggernaut probably doesn't even have a BMW!! I feel for the person that hit him as well that is a shock. Any loss of life no matter how it happens is a tragedy and my heart goes out to his mom. [sad][sad]

Juggernaut are trying to be funny or are you just an inconsiderate jerk? Would you be mad b/c he damaged your car or because he selfishly decided to involve some totally innocent person in his destruction? I'd be pissed about the latter.
