An increasing number of vehicle burglaries in Queen Creek has prompted the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to offer suggestions for reducing the chances of becoming a victim:

• Lock your vehicle. In the majority of cases, unlocked vehicles are targeted.

• Remove valuables from your vehicle. Many of the cases reported in Queen Creek included the theft of wallets, purses, cameras and other valuables that were left in plain view.

• Report suspicious activity. Call MCSO’s non-emergency hotline, (602) 876-1011, to report suspicious people or vehicles in your neighborhood.

The Town of Queen Creek has a curfew ordinance that prohibits minors 15 and younger from being out past 10 p.m., according to a news release from the town. Minors ages 16-18 may not be out past midnight. Several of the reports of vehicular burglary have involved minors, the release said.

downtownresident: Since people in Queen Creek ARE doing those things listed, SOMEONE has to explain to them why they shouldn't be doing it. Sounds to me you are just trying to find fault for its own sake.

If Joe's "brilliant" (meant scarcastically by you), then what does it make the citizens that have been doing said "brilliant" things? The man is doing his job, and all you ever do is complain....
