A man suspected of abducting a woman at the main Mesa library last Thursday has been taken into custody in South Carolina.
Mesa police said the U.S. Marshal’s Office took Alonzo Robles, 24, into custody Saturday after law enforcement received several tips following news coverage of a woman who was stabbed and left on the side of a road south of Florence.
The victim identified Robles as the suspect in a line-up, police said Tuesday. Also, they said they have evidence linking Robles to the crime scene.
Police said Robles approached the woman at the library as she was returning books and asked her for a ride. The woman agreed, only to be stabbed, tied up and driven in her vehicle on state Route 79 into Pinal County. Robles pulled over south of Florence and made the woman lay down in the brush, police said.
The woman was able to get free and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The man told the woman he was going to Tucson.

No Slabs, he is here legally because Obama allowed him to be here under the new amnesty rules. He was just going to Tucson for a job interview as a convenience store robber and child rapist! It is so good our dictator-traitor allowed this element into our Country. Thank you liberals for your great ideas!
