Phoenix police have released the identity of a woman's body found in a canal Wednesday.
The woman is identified as 32-year-old Kelly Hillman. Phoenix police say it appears the body had not been in the 20-foot deep vertical irrigation pipe more than a day. The cause of death will need to be determined by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner.
Two men scavenging for scrap metal Wednesday afternoon discovered Hillman's body inside a large concrete drain in the Roosevelt Irrigation District canal.
Police are asking the public for help as the investigation continues.
