Police have identified a man who died after he crashed his motorcycle into the back of a pick-up truck near a Chandler intersection on Saturday.

Danny Snider Jr., 30, of Chandler, who was traveling westbound on Pecos Road near Palm Lane, was pronounced dead at the scene, shortly after he crashed about 10 p.m., according to Chandler police.

Snider crashed into the truck as the truck was turning off of Palm Lane and onto Pecos Road, according to Detective Seth Tyler, a Chandler police spokesman.

It is believed that Snider was speeding, traveling faster than the 45 mph speed limit along Pecos Road, Tyler said.

No one else was injured in the crash, Tyler said.
