Pinal County authorities say a second suspect now is in custody for allegedly stealing donation jars meant for a 7-year-old girl battling cancer.
County sheriff's officials say 21-year-old Peter Cardinale, of Chandler, was arrested Thursday at his grandmother's home in Apache Junction.
The other suspect — 21-year-old Anthony Stuber, of San Tan Valley — was taken into custody Tuesday.
Authorities say the two men were separately seen in surveillance video taken during the thefts on July 22 and Aug. 9 at Queen Creek-area Walgreens stores.
The two aren't believed to be working together.
Deputies suspect the two men allegedly stole about $300 from both jars.
The donation jars were placed at the stores by the ailing girl's parents, who planned to use the money to cover some family expenses.

@leon ceniceros--I suppose this blows your myth that you so strongly believe in that only illegals and latinos are criminals as you like to say -hey folks here we have dirty illegals stealing and committing all the crime in the state. well now you must admit that these 2 crooks that were arrested are not latinos and possibly not illegals either just pure and simple crooks. yes Leon there are many other crooks in this state and they are not all illegals, you defend brewer, horne, arpaio, pearce, and the GOP political idiots who committ the type of crimes that they can keep quiet because of their political positions. So before you open your big mouth there are many more crimes being committed by so many people in arizona that are NOT illegals or latinos or hispanics.

Oh good. 2 more blights on society are now labeled and hopefully shamed for their doings. Hopefully this translates into more activity for this child and this family. "This family is an example why 'ObamaCare" was voted into law. " Hmmm. Obamacare will now increase the reach of Government and cost everyone in the country more for Healthcare and this story about one family makes it all a good idea. I beg to differ. There were enumerable options far short of changing the nation and reach of the Government that could have improved the options for this and other families.
