Participants in the recent Police Explorers Team Builder Challenge in Mesa process a mock crime scene. The teams had five minutes to plan, then 20 minutes to identify, collect, field process, package evidence, and formulate a theory about what happened. Afterwards, they had to explain their theory, the items they collected, and what forensic processes were (or would be) used on each item. Points were awarded for using less time, correct theory, correct items, and correct processes. [Robert Young/Mesa Police Department]
