Two boys missing from a Mesa group home have been located, Mesa police reported Thursday morning.
The boys, 10-year-old Jairo Perez and 14-year-old Miguel Miranda, ran away from the group home hours after being placed in it last weekend, according to police.
They are now in the custody of Child Protective Services.
No details about where they were found are available at this time.
The boys were placed in the Mesa group home after their mom was arrested by Chandler police on Saturday night. After they disappeared from the home, they were spotted near their grandmother’s home in Chandler, but then ran off, according to reports.
Mesa police are still looking for a 16-year-old girl who ran away from a different group home Sunday.
Sonia Rojas was last seen Sunday night in a group home in the area of Meridian and Adobe roads. Sonia has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and multiple personality disorder.
Sonia is described as Hispanic, and was last seen wearing dark jeans, long sleeve black shirt, black sweater, and dark blue tennis shoes with green stripes. She was carrying a dark blue Hannah Montana backpack with blue paper covering the Hannah Montana portion.
