The Mesa United Way branch is accepting monetary donations for those who have lost their homes in the Yarnell Hill wildfire.

According to a press release, the organization will accept monetary donations on its website, by phone or in person.

“This tragedy, especially the loss of 19 courageous firefighters, has shaken the entire nation,” said Mesa United Way president and CEO Dan Wollam in the release.

“We should join together and do all we can to ease the suffering, including helping the many families who’ve lost their homes.”

To donate, visit mesaunitedway.org, call (480) 969-8601 or visit the office in person at 137 E. University Drive in Mesa. The location is open Mondays through Thursdays excluding Independence Day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
