Mesa police responded to a fight-turned-shooting late Thursday night at the north parking lot of the Covina Apartments, 1821 E. Covina St.
Shortly before 11 p.m., police arrived at the apartment complex and found a man with a gunshot wound to his back. He was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
After interviewing several people, police have identified possible suspects. The scene was secured as police waited on search warrants. This is an on-going investigation.
