Seacat Gardens, a grower of certified organic produce and heirloom vegetables, is joining the Chandler Farmer's Market, beginning Jan. 12.

To celebrate Seacat's addition, the first 100 patrons to make a purchase at the market will receive a free reusable shopping bag on Jan. 12 and 26. The market also has more than 40 regular vendors who sell anything from salsa, barbecue sauces, relishes, tamales, smoked salmon, roasted nuts, vinegars, granola, breads and honey to homemade arts and crafts.

The Chandler Farmer's Market is from 3-7 p.m. every Thursday at Dr. A. J. Chandler Park, 3 S. Arizona Ave., October through the end of May. There are still a few openings for vendors who want to participate, particularly those selling food items. Vendors must meet all licensing requirements. For more information, contact the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership at (480) 855-3539.
