Chandler libraries offer multiple events throughout October

The Chandler Public Libraries have a series of different events for residents scheduled throughout the month of October.

People interested in knitting, crocheting, quilting and embroidering can sign up for the Stitch’n Time events held on the first and third Friday at Basha Library.

Mothers, aunts or grandmothers with daughters, nieces and granddaughters between the ages of 9 and 11 can visit the Hamilton Library on Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m. for a book discussion of “The Magic Half” by Annie Barrows.

Also on tap is an “Ender’s Game” Party for people between the ages of 9 and 18 between 3 and 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 at the Downtown Library. The event will include video games, snacks, raffle prizes, screenings of “The Twilight Zone” and “Ender’s Game” Plinko.

Other events include a Yo-Yo Class with Tyler Severance for five weeks beginning Oct. 16 at the Downtown Library; An event featuring the Arizona Youth Ballet at the Hamilton Library on Oct. 19; Doggy Storytime at the Downtown Library on Oct. 19; and Storybook Kitchen with colonial-era cooking at the Sunset Library on Oct. 29.
