Santa left a lot of electronic reader devices under the tree this Christmas, but he apparently didn’t leave the best instructions for their sometimes confused owners.

This has triggered a lot of calls to Chandler’s libraries, which are responding with some free classes to help people use their e-readers and download free e-books from the library.

Librarians will share tips on downloading any of the 60,000 free e-books from the library. The books can be checked out for free, for up to 14 days as long as users have a current library card.

The library has scheduled these January classes:

• Jan. 9, from 1-2 p.m. at the Downtown Library, 22 S. Delaware St.

• Jan 14, from 1-2 p.m. at the Downtown Library

• Jan. 21, from 10-11 a.m. at the Downtown Library

• Jan. 27, from 10-11 a.m. at the Basha Library, 5990 S. Val Vista Drive.

Future dates and times will be posted at www.chandlerlibrary.org, in the “events” section. No registration is required. For more information, call (480) 782-2800.
