The East Valley Chorale is looking to add several male singers to perform at a variety of events across the Valley.

A press release from the group, which is composed of singers from 40 churches in the Phoenix area, says the chorale seeks several additional men to perform at churches, RV parks, assisted living facilities and care centers usually twice a month. The Chorale also has two concerts, one in the spring and the other during the Christmas season, in which it is backed by a 25-member orchestra.

People who do sign up can expect to perform songs from a variety of genres, including gospel, contemporary and hymns.

Performers are not required to participate in every concert, nor do they have to memorize the music, and the cost to participate is $40 every six months.

Contact Dr. Bruce Cochran at bacochran@cox.net, visit eastvalleychorale.org or check out one of the rehearsals every Tuesday from 7 to 9 0.m. at Crossroads Nazarene Church, located at 2950 W. Ray Road in Chandler, for more information about the local singing group.
