Police have identified the drivers involved in a deadly motorcycle crash Tuesday morning in Chandler.

The collision happened around 5:45 a.m. at Cooper and Germann roads.

Chandler police said 39-year-old Monica T. Trejo of Mesa was driving a 2003 Ford Focus southbound on Cooper Road and entered the intersection of Germann Road on a flashing yellow left turn arrow.

Police said 30-year-old David Logan Edmonds, who was on a motorcycle, was going northbound on Cooper Road and entered the intersection on a green light at average speed.

Trejo didn’t use caution before making the turn and crashed into Edmonds, police said.

Edmonds was pronounced dead at the scene.

A motorist driving by had stopped and attempted CPR on Edmonds, police said.

Another driver reportedly witnessed the crash and stopped to provide information to police.

The witness told police that one other male driver was stopped at the red light in a passenger car at the time of the crash, and Chandler police are asking that driver to come forward to help with the investigation.

That witness can contact police at 480-782-4130.

Trejo was cited and released for causing a moving violation death and cited for driving without a license, police said.

released!? she murdered someone and is merely cited and released???
I'll bet she'll be long gone by the time the police wake up.
    Are you kidding me?
Causing a moving violation? So killing someone is ok?
    Driving without a license?
