Astronomy buffs can gaze into the sky Jan. 28 and view the moon, planets, double stars, nebulae, star clusters and more at the annual Star Party at Chandler's Oasis Park. Chandler's Environmental Education Center is hosting the free event along with the East Valley Astronomy Club, which will provide telescopes for viewing the night sky.

An indoor presentation from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. will cover a special astronomy topic, with an optional $5 donation. Telescope viewing takes place from 6:30 pm. to 9 p.m. in the east end of the education center's parking lot. Visitors are asked to park in the west end of the lot at Oasis Park, 4050 E. Chandler Heights Road. For information call (480) 782-2890 or visit www.chandleraz.gov/veterans-oasis.
