Chandler-Gilbert Community College hosts a free neighborhood reception, “Celebrating the American Dream,” from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday on the college’s Pecos Campus, 2626 E. Pecos Road, Chandler.
In the library, Grammy-nominated recording artist Tony Redhouse will perform his “Native American Interactive Show,” and the Smithsonian poster exhibit, “From Sea to Shining Sea: 200 Years of Charting America’s Coasts,” will be on display.
In the student center pavilion, a student pottery holiday sale will be held, along with “Letters to the Troops,” sponsored by the college’s Creative Writing Club in support of the “Packages From Home” organization. The college will also have its “Adopt a Family” angel tree and a holiday canned food drive.
Hot dogs, apple pie and drinks will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. outside the pavilion.
