The City of Chandler announced its four public libraries will be closed on Monday, Oct. 14.
The closure, which is on Columbus Day, is a training day for the libraries’ staff, and regular hours will resume on Oct. 15. People who are affected by the closure can visit chandlerlibrary.org to access e-books, audio books, music and videos for free.
Excluding Columbus Day and other holidays, the Downtown Library, located at 22 S. Delaware Street, is open every Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The Basha Library’s — located at 5990 S. Val Vista Drive — hours are Monday through Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it is closed on Sunday.
The Hamilton Library, which is located at 3700 S. Arizona Ave., is open Monday through Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m., and it is closed Sunday. Sunset Library, located at 4930 W. Ray Road, is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
