Early results show that voters will approve the Tempe Elementary School District’s $5 million annual capital outlay override, according to unofficial results.
Voters were approving the measure with 53 percent of the vote with 10 of 28 precincts reporting.
The annual capital outlay override will provide the school district funds to make one-time purchases like textbooks and furniture.
In the school board election, it appears the race is too close to call. Incumbent Rochelle Wells was leading in a race against three other contenders. Three four-year seats were being decided Tuesday. Wells had nearly 27 percent of the vote in unofficial results.
