The Chandler Chamber of Commerce will honor the employers that contribute the most to the city's economy at The Chandler 100 breakfast Thursday.

Keynote speaker Jim Smith, president of Avnet Logistics, will discuss trends in the electronics distribution industry and how Chandler fits into the company's plans.

Businesses belonging to the Chandler 100 were chosen based on their number of employees in the city plus annual gross revenue from their Chandler-based operations.

The chamber compiled two lists: one for large employers with annual revenue of more than $10 million and one for smaller companies with annual revenue between $500,000 and $10 million.

Intel topped the large-company list, followed by Verizon Wireless, Chandler Regional Medical Center, Microchip Technology and Wells Fargo Bank. Arizona Bank and Trust topped the small-company list.

The event will take place at 7:30 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos, 1 San Marcos Way, in downtown Chandler.

The cost to attend is $30 for chamber members and $40 for nonmembers. To register, visit www.chandlerchamber.com and click events calendar, or call (480) 963-4571 for information..
