Chandler volunteers will help pull weeds as part of the Let’s Pull Together campaign on consecutive Saturdays starting March 29 through April 12.
The volunteers will organize into weed eradication teams to help pull weeds from yards and alleys, assist with front yard maintenance, and pick up trash from vacant or abandoned homes.
“This will be the fifth year of our annual weed-pulling crusade and it is having a significant impact on the lives of both volunteers and those being helped,” said Kevin Hartke, a Chandler City Councilmember and director of For Our City–Chandler, in a press release.
Residents are encouraged to contact the City’s Neighborhood Programs Office with addresses and contact information for residents in the community struggling to keep their properties free of weeds. City staff and volunteers will work with the owners to obtain clean properties during the weed pulling campaign.
